Charles Potashner

Born in Stow, Massachusetts, Charles Potashner spent his formative years in San Diego, California, where he was inspired to play music by the vibrant punk scene surrounding all-ages UCSD collective Che Cafe. With no musical training or instrument of choice, Charles began to create the sounds in his head using pots, pans, drums, and the Casiotone keyboard his mother had lying around. In the years that followed, Charles embarked on many lengthy and unforgettable US tours with many short-lived and long-forgotten bands he prefers not to mention.

Since his 2012 relocation to London, England, he has hung from the rafters of venues across the UK as the lead vocalist of noise act Dressmaker and has recently focused his attention on his new artpunk project, Vyk Non.

As of summer 2017 he has stopped performing and is focusing on writing.
